Official Launch in Singapore

Despite many challenges, they launched our beta product in October 2020 during the pandemic.

With travel looking differently for everyone, they saw an opportunity to bring unique experiences that connect travelers to global and local culture.

They are super proud to say that in June 2021, Pelago officially launched in Singapore! With more than 2,300 experiences on their platform, there is something for everyone.

As borders reopen, they aim to expand across the Asia Pacific and ultimately to wherever Singapore Airlines flies.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay by credit or debit cards, including VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and UnionPay, as well as digital wallets such as Apple Pay, GrabPay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay* and Alipay*.

If I have not received a refund?

Card Payments

Once a refund has been initiated, you will receive the refund as a credit on your payment card in the same currency as what you paid for. The refund takes approximately 5–10 business days to be reflected in your account, depending on the individual bank’s processing time.

Refunds may sometimes be reversed instead. When this happens, the original charge will no longer appear on your credit card statement and a separate credit will not be issued.

In some cases, if the card’s validity has expired or was cancelled, refunds may not be successfully processed. Your card issuer will usually credit the refund to your replacement card. If you do not have one, they may deliver the refund using an alternative method (e.g. cheque or bank account deposit). Do reach out to your card issuer for help in these cases.

Apple Pay, Google Pay

Similar to Card payments, once a refund has been initiated, you will receive the refund as a credit on your payment card in the same currency as what you paid for. The refund takes approximately 5–10 business days to be reflected in your account, depending on the individual bank’s processing time.

GrabPay, PayNow, Alipay

It may take up to 90 days for this to be reflected in your payment account.

WeChat

It may take up to 180 days for this to be reflected in your payment account.

Why did I receive a different refund amount to what I paid?

When you pay in a currency different from your local currency, the refund will be converted based on the prevailing exchange rate, as determined by the bank, on the date the refund was made.

As currency conversion rates fluctuate, the rate at the time of payment is often different from the rate at the time of refund. As a result, the converted amount that you paid typically does not equal to the converted amount that you will receive in the refund. You may also be subject to international transaction fees imposed by your credit card.

They will not be able to provide a refund for any differences post-conversion. As multiple currencies are supported on Pelago, they would strongly recommend that you make the purchase in your local currency to avoid currency conversion risks.
